We help partners who are experiencing hurt with issues like:
A Toxic Relationship
Toxic relationships can look differently from couple to couple. They can be hot (heated and conflict-ridden) or cold (withdrawn and distant). In general partners in a toxic marriage don’t feel supported by each other, they don’t feel respected, and they don’t fight fair.
A toxic marriage can become “un-toxic”. In other words, “toxic” is not an identity that defines you, it is a state that can be changed. At the Hopeful Tomorrows Marriage Retreat, you will learn the tools to be able to navigate tricky emotional situations and conversations. You will learn the tools to really hear each other’s perspectives and to connect with each other leading to love and intimacy. We can help you save your marriage.
The Pain of Broken Trust
Trust can be broken in a marriage in a number of different ways including poor boundaries, emotional or physical affairs, deceit, and addiction. The hurt of being blind-sided is traumatizing and creates many painful emotions that are disorienting and all-consuming.
Time does not heal all wounds, but time along with hard work can rebuild and ultimately heal a marriage. At the Hopeful Tomorrows Marriage Retreat, we will meet you where you are and help you navigate through the painful emotions in a way that brings understanding and healing leading to love and intimacy. We can help you save your marriage.
Have Fallen Out of Love
When a husband or wife loses feelings of love for their spouse, it truly feels like those feelings could never come back. They end up feeling stuck. They feel like their only options are to divorce or to stay stuck in a loveless marriage. What they don’t realize is there is a third option which is to create the kind of marriage they would both want to experience.
Lost feelings of love can be regained. At the Hopeful Tomorrows Marriage Retreat, we will give you the road map of how to do it. It takes hard work to get there, but it is possible to find love and intimacy together. We can help you save your marriage.
Struggle to Connect and Communicate With Each Other
Many partners feel like they often miss each other which leads to angry disagreements that quickly escalate. Things heat up and then they cool down leaving a sense of distance, disconnection, and hurt. The cycle repeats time and time again leaving partners feeling frustrated and alone.
Most of us never learned the skills to communicate, connect, and resolve conflict effectively. At the Hopeful Tomorrows Marriage Retreat, we will give you the tools so that you can not only resolve past hurts, but you can navigate tricky emotional conversations in a way that actually brings you together rather than pulling you apart leading to love and intimacy. We can help you save your marriage.
